Operation TOMODACHI

Home from three weeks in Japan supporting Operation TOMODACHI (friendship in Japanese). Elements of my staff were sent to assist the newly formed Joint Support Force which led lines of operation for humanitarian assistance, radiological consequence management and the voluntary departure of military dependents.

Back to the chronological blogging and I'll follow up with more on TOMODACHI when I get to it. Keep the people of Japan in your thoughts and prayers. The scale of disaster is unfathomable and the lasting effects of the damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant will be difficult and lengthy.
