We rented a cozy little house just outside downtown. Came with a nice sized yard and a shed preloaded with lawn toys. Boys really appreciated the open space.
Within days we had our first visitors - Kim's Mom and Howitt came up for a week. We set off on a New England tourist itinerary. First stop, though, was to meet the neighbors.
This was the Vanderbilt's place next door. They were very nice.
We went on a day trip to Plymouth. The boys were told to remember Plymouth Rock because Daddy has been there twice and didn't want to check that box again.
The boys playing on a bridge over Town Brooke with Nana and Pops. The Pilgrims settled here partly because of the freshwater and herring runs provided by the brook.
Despite some rather Whidbeyesque weather we did have some beautiful days for walking on the Boardwalk.
