After 3 1/2 years we finally made back to the Southeast. Purpose of the trip was to find a house for our move to Jacksonville, FL and visit family.
Took the usual red-eye out of Honolulu to Jacksonville and settled into a nice rental condo out at Sawgrass where my parents joined us. Next day looked at about a dozen houses for sale and then ended up renting from a friend. Boys got to see their new school, Andy got some academic testing completed and I stopped by the squadron to pick up some study materials. We also made time to visit St. Augustine and get some shopping done - we all need winter clothes.
We managed to finish all those chores, rather successfully, in the first week and then went up to Chapin and Greenville to continue visiting friends and family and have some fun. It actually felt like vacation.
